Collaborative
I have completed both my Bronze and Silver Duke of Edinburgh Awards at George Green's. Each stage gives you a true sense of achievement as you complete the expeditions and work through the different sections of the Award.
The expeditions are incredibly fun, as you collaborate with your friends, coming together as a team, especially when camping and hiking in nature. While it can be challenging at times—like when it rained a lot during our Silver expedition—experiences like these teach you the importance of perseverance and teamwork, as you all work together to finish what you started.
Alongside the expeditions, you collaborate in the skills, physical, and volunteering sections, where you join forces with others to achieve common goals. For my volunteering section, I was an NHS cadet, and I believe this hands-on experience will be valuable as I pursue my dream of studying medicine at university.
