As members of George Green's Sixth Form, you will be expected to wear business professional dress at all times. We have high expectations and it is important to act as positive role models within our community, and to your younger peers.  It is important that we follow this to maintain professionalism, emulating our school values in readiness for the world of work.

GGS Sixth Form Dress Code
  • A blazer
  • Smart trousers (no jeans, combats, tracksuit bottoms or leggings), or a tailored skirt that is knee length or longer
  • Salwar kameez or abaya's are permitted (but must be worn with a blazer)
  • A smart tailored shirt or a blouse (ties are optional)
  • Smart formal shoes or boots (no trainers, sandals or flip flops)
  • Hoodies are not permitted
  • Clothes must be formal and tailored, avoiding figure hugging or tight clothing, and appropriate for a school setting
  • Make-up is permitted but should be light and age-appropriate
  • Nails should be a sensible length and nail varnish is allowed
  • Jewellery must be sensible and discreet
  • Student ID lanyard badges must be worn at all times

The policy applies to all students and when not adhered to, students may be sent home or spend the day in the Student Support Base (SSB). Any final decisions on uniform rest with the Principal, who may delegate responsibilities to other members of SLT.
