Reporting and Assessment

Reporting

At George Green's School, we believe in maintaining a transparent and open line of communication with parents. We understand that your child's academic progress and wellbeing are of utmost importance to you. Therefore, our reporting system is designed to keep you informed about your child's progress, achievements, and areas for improvement throughout the academic year.

Our reporting process is a continuous one, comprising of regular updates rather than a one-off report at the end of the year. We employ a variety of methods including parents' evenings, written reports, and digital platforms. These allow us to provide detailed feedback on specific subjects, as well as a comprehensive overview of your child's overall progress. We believe this approach facilitates better understanding and encourages a collaborative relationship between the school and parents.

We warmly invite you to engage actively in our reporting process. Your feedback and involvement are critical to your child's educational journey. If you have any queries or require further information, please do not hesitate to contact our dedicated team. Together, we can ensure that your child's experience at George Green's is both enriching and rewarding.

Assesment

Teachers use a range of strategies to assess pupils and they are constantly monitoring the progress that it made.

In order to make effective judgements on pupil attainment and progress, we use a number of summative assessments across the academic year; some will be in class and some will take place in examination conditions within the sports hall. In order to support pupilsin doing their best in each assessment, teachers will ensure that appropriate revision materials are provided and these should be used at home to prepare for the test.

We've put together an Assessments Calendar per Year Group to help you understand the home learning requirements and support your child better. Please take a moment to review:
